Live every Friday
The Recruiter
RoundtableCameras on. Opinions louder.
A standing room of working headhunters, arguing about the desk in real time. No slides. No panel. No script.
We pick a topic and put it out before Friday, so nobody turns up cold. Everyone who shows up talks — you are in the room, not in an audience. Recruiters at every level, day one to thirty years, same call, same hour.
Main call
The Recruiter Roundtable
Fridays · 12:30 PM ET
The full room, every week. A topic picked and posted ahead of time, then an hour on it. Last Friday of the month is a straight free-for-all — no topic, biggest turnout.
Midweek
Ask a Headhunter Live
Tuesdays · 5:00 PM ET
Shorter, looser, question-driven. Bring the thing on your desk right now — the stalled offer, the client who went quiet, the search you can’t crack.
How it works
A topic a week, and one week without one
Nothing elaborate. We choose the subject, put it out ahead of Friday, and the room does the rest.
Most Fridays
We pick the topic
One subject, chosen and posted before the call so you arrive with something real instead of something theoretical. Then an hour on it with everybody in the room talking — the argument goes wherever it goes.
Last Friday of the month
Open discussion, no agenda
No topic, nothing planned, free-for-all. Whatever anyone drags in — the client who went quiet, the offer that blew up, the thing you’ve been arguing about all month. Reliably our biggest turnout.
After the stream ends
Secret Double Probation
The recording stops and the room gets honest.
The after-show is where the fee numbers get said out loud, the client gets named, and somebody finally admits how the deal actually fell apart. It is the most popular part of the week, and none of it goes on YouTube — which is precisely why people talk.
You have to be in the room. There is no recording, no recap and no clip.
- Nothing said here leaves the call.
- No recording. No clips. No exceptions.
- Real numbers, real names, real losses.
- Show up live or miss it entirely.
The standing arguments
Things this room refuses to settle
Ranked by how hard the room goes. Bring a position — you will be asked to defend it.
Your hosts
Three people who don’t agree
Which is the format. The disagreement on the host side is what gives the room permission to disagree too.

Thom Alascio
Host · Phone first
Will pick up the phone mid-session and prove the point rather than argue it. Holds the hardest line in the room on going direct to the hiring manager.

Kelly Nelson
Host · The email side
The written-outreach case, made every week against a room that keeps telling her to dial. Known around here as the Queen of Email, not by her own choosing.

Ernie Moreno
Host · Keeps it moving
Pulls the thread when a topic is going somewhere and calls it when it isn’t. The reason the hour lands instead of drifting.
